YP Volunteering
This page is a dedicated resource for young professionals looking to make a meaningful mark on the La Crosse area! Whether you want to roll up your sleeves for a morning of service or help steer the ship of a local organization, there are many ways to get engaged.
The opportunities are divided into two primary ways to get involved: volunteering & board/committee seats.
Whether you want to join one of our officially organized YP service groups or branch out on your own, there’s a place for you here. Keep an eye on this page for upcoming YP-led volunteer dates, or grab a few friends and sign up for any opportunity that sparks your interest.

YP Led Volunteering
Join our YP-led groups! If you sign up for any of these events, reach out to CJ White, from the YP Committee, so we can track YP volunteer hours and make sure you are placed with our YP group!
- Saturday, April 25th - Habitat for Humanity's Neighbors Day - This is a spring cleanup for elderly people who can't do it all themselves. It runs from 7:30 am - 1 pm, and lunch it provided.
- Sunday, April 26th - Sustainability Institute's Earth Fair - Every year, the Sustainability Institute puts on an Earth Day celebration, and this opportunity would be helping set up for it. This runs from 8 am - 11 am.
- Saturday, May 2nd - La Crosse Marathon - There are a lot of different opportunities to help out at the marathon. Currently, we have two people signed up for 5k Course Marshaling, which is helping keep people off the 5k track and cheering on runners. Times vary based on spots.
- Saturday, May 9th - River Clean Up - There are four sites to choose from. I am currently signed up at the Logan Street Boat Ramp, right next to Black River Beach. For volunteering at this event, you get a t-shirt and a ticket to what they're calling "the after party." This runs 8 am - 12 pm.
