About the Honor Student Banquet

Since 1959 Chamber members have united the top five-percent of soon-to-be graduates the area’s now 12 high schools for the Honor Student Banquet. Sponsoring companies host the student and their parent/guardian at the table for a nice meal as an inspiring graduate from an area high school provides and address. A student is chosen to give an address. All students then walk across the stage to be recognized and to receive recognition from the community.

One of my  favorite Chamber programs is the Honor Student Banquet. I believe it is the Chamber’s finest moment every year when we honor those top five-percent of high school students from our area high schools. It’s a great event. I think I’ve been to 20 of them.
