What is the Youth Leadership Program? |
The
La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program emphasizes
leadership skills and community understanding through six sessions
during the school year. The Youth Leadership Program is designed for
students who are juniors in High School. This allows participants to
put their skills to work serving their schools and communities during
their senior year. |

About the 2010-2011 Youth Leadership Class |
The
2010-2011 Youth
Leadership Class has 29 students from eight of the eleven area high
schools participating in the program. This is the
ninth year of the Chamber’s Youth Leadership Program. |
|
Commitment to the Program
|
It
is very important for students to determine if they have the time to
commit to the program. An important trait of being a leader is personal
commitment. Students who are selected to be part of the Youth
Leadership Program are expected to be on time and attend all sessions
throughout the program year. However, we realize that illness and other
circumstances may cause an absence. Consecutive absences or non-excused
absences will not be tolerated and may result in dismissal from the
program. |
|
Program Sessions |
The
program sessions take place the first Wednesday of October, November,
December, February, March and April of the school year. The date stays
consistent, but the times of the sessions vary. The first session is a
full day, and the others are half-days. |
